Introduction

Welcome to the Mid-South Delta Data Library (MDDL). This library currently contains nine socioeconomic variables comprising all counties and parishes in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. In addition, state totals are provided as well as the metropolitan, micropolitan, and noncore sections for each state. The objective is to provide valuable data to citizens, policymakers, and community stakeholders. Stay tuned since more variables will be added in the following months.

Data is available at the county/parish level, state, and selected rurality categories (metropolitan, micropolitan, noncore). Users can choose to graph up to eight geographies per selected indicator.

To begin analyzing data, please go to the Data menu on the right. Four steps are required to graph selected data.

1) Select the indicator you are interested in and click Select
2) Select the years you want to display for the selected indicator and click Submit
3) Select the geographies from the tabs (up to eight per graph).

TIP - If you want to hide the list of geographies once you have selected the ones you are interested in, click the Hide List tab

4) Click on Draw Graph

Please note the counties/parishes are listed under their respective state tabs. For example, if you are interested in Leflore County in Mississippi, click on the Mississippi tab and then check the box beside Leflore County.

If the tab labeled “Target Counties” is selected, all three Delta Geographic Concentration Initiative target counties and their state totals will be graphed.

Once the graph is shown, click on the download data link at the bottom of the page to download the data in CSV format.
